The death occurred peacefully, at the Community Hospital, O’Leary, September 24, 2022 of Irene M Arsenault, Tignish, aged 76. Born in Tignish Shore, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Edna (nee DesRoches) Gaudet and wife to the late Francis Arsenault.
She leaves behind her children Darlene Arsenault (Paul), Tignish, Vincent Goguen (Lynn), Bouctouch, Blair Marsh (April), Summerside, Pam Arsenault (Johnathan), Harper Road, Tracy Bernard (Billy), Tignish, brothers and sisters Nelson Gaudet, Alberton, Kathleen (LeRoy) Doucette, Palmer Road, Austin (Velda) Gaudet, Alberton, Theresa (Norman) Leger, Toronto, Velda (Ronald) Leger, Mass. US, Shirley Pitre, Toronto, Leonard (Audrey) Gaudet, Charlottetown, Austina Doucette, Tignish, Ann (Rick) Walsh, Toronto, Doreen (Claude) Robichaud, Neguac,NB, Debbie (Henry) Chiasson, Red Deer, Sandy Janes, Red Deer.
Greatly missed by grandchildren Randall, Kendall, Danielle, Hillary, Rochelle, Dexter, Taylor, Valene, Spencer, Shelby and great grandchildren Sophie, Dominic, Sawyer, Madelynn, Abigail, Adriana, Landon, Maci, Wesley and Bella.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis Arsenault, parents Cyril and Edna Gaudet, brother Junior Gaudet and sisters Barbara Anne Gaudet, Auldine Bernard and Eunice McFadgen.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, with no visiting hours, as per family request.
Funeral service to be held at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, on Saturday October 1, 2022, at 10:30 am. Celebrant Rev John Molina.
Interment in the church cemetery.
