The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Monday, December 19, 2022, of Aden Clow, beloved husband of Edith Clow (nee MacDonald) for 71 years, formerly of Dunstaffnage, aged 95.

He was the loving father of Neevin Clow (Jennifer), Adene Boyle, Marguerite Cox (Richard) and Debbie-Lee Clow; grandfather to 11 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings-in-law, Helena MacDonald, Bertha Bruce, Margaret Corney, Bernice Matheson (Vernon), Ethel Vessey (Gordon), Garfield MacDonald (Brenda) and Arlene MacEwen (Donnie).

Aden was predeceased by his parents, Ephriam and Annie (Davey) Clow; son-in-law, Garth Boyle; sisters, Enid Robinson and Opal Almas; and siblings-in-law, Blair Bruce, Thelma Clarkin (Gerald), Hessell Corney, Dewar MacDonald (Judy), and Kenneth MacDonald.

Resting at Central United Church, Dunstaffnage, for visitation on Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. The funeral will be held in Central United Church on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.

Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products. Family flowers only.

The funeral for Aden Clow, beloved husband of Edith Clow, was held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Central United Church, Dunstaffnage. The service was conducted by Reverend David Atwood who offered words of comfort, prayer and a meditation. Words of remembrance were prepared and read by daughter, Marguerite Cox, as well as words prepared by Billy and Dottie Tarrow, read by daughter, Debbie Lee Clow. The scripture readings included selected verses from I Corinthians, read by Neevin Clow and Debbie Lee Clow, and Psalm 23, read by Rev. Atwood. Music was led by the Central United Church Choir, and pianist, Jordan McNally, played the congregational hymns, “The Old Rugged Cross”, “Daddy’s Hands” which was sung by Adene Boyle, Natalie Boyle, Nicolle Landry, Kynissa Landry, Peyton Graham, and Natasha Mosher-Gallant, and “All The Way My Saviour Leads Me”. Honorary pallbearers were everyone present. Pallbearers were his granddaughters, Jenna Cox, Kendra Peveril, Madison Mansbridge, Kelsey Wilson, Natalie Boyle, Nicolle Landry, Natasha Mosher-Gallant and Saundra Clow. Flower bearers were Darla Jay, Kynissa Landry and Kerry Clow. Interment took place in the church cemetery, where Rev. Atwood led the committal service.
