We are announcing with deep sadness the passing of Sheena, on April 29th, 2023 at the age of 40 in Charlottetown, PEI, after a long illness. She fought courageously to the end, against all odds.

She was an attentive and loving mother. Beloved mom to her sons Julien and Liam Axworthy (Darren Axworthy). Cherished daughter of Susan Hartleb (nee Doiron) and Jacques Dubois and half sister of Stephanie, granddaughter of the late Helmut (Harry) Hartleb (2022) and Joan MacKinnon-Doiron; her close family members aunts, uncles and cousins; Faye Lafferty, Heather (Michel) Lortie and their children, the late David (2020) and Katherine; Morag (Doug) Clark and their children, Shonagh and Andrew; Gwenyth (Stephanie) Smith and their son Korben.

Sheena was born in Montreal and spent most of her life in Brossard, Quebec. As her illness progressed, she moved to the Island where her sons’ father lived, and is the birthplace of her mother and grandmother.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown for their compassionate care. A special thank you to the members of the Dialysis Unit who went above and beyond for her care.
