The death occurred peacefully at St. John Regional Hospital, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, of Jim Seaman, beloved husband of Edith (Evans) Seaman, of St. John and formerly of Ebenezer, age 72.

He was the step-father of Danny Losier (Krista), and grandfather of Carter and Brody Losier.

He is also survived by his siblings, Billy Seaman (Cindy) and Barb McDonald (Andy); nephews and nieces, Jeff McDonald (Erin); Laura Seaman (Scott Kemp); Lisa Racine (Jack); Adrian Seaman (Erin); and Bethany Seaman; grandnephews and grandniece, Joshua, Jonah, Sawyer, Millie and Felicity; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Viola (Gamester) Seaman; brothers Stewart and Blaikie; and infant brother, George.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. The funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00 p.m. The service will be recorded and uploaded to our Facebook page. Interment in the Hunter River Cemetery.

The funeral for Jim Seaman was held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow. The service was conducted by Reverend Steven Stead, who offered prayer and words of comfort in his message. Scripture readings included readings from Ecclesiastes 3, John 14, and Psalm 23, read by Rev. Stead. Heartfelt words of remembrance were shared by nephew, Jeff McDonald. The poem “Softly in The Morning”, was read by stepdaughter-in-law, Krista Losier. The hymns included: “In the Garden”, by Alan Jackson, “Amazing Grace”, by Anne Murray. Honorary Pallbearers were Carman Ford, Robert Ford, Earl Ford and Bob MacGregor. Pallbearers were Jeff McDonald, Ian ford, Adrian Seaman, Corey Watts, Kenneth Ford and Carter Losier. Flower bearers were Harley Ford and Hannah Ford. Interment took place in the Hunter River cemetery, where Rev. Stead conducted the committal service.
