FUNERAL POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER
The Funeral mass will now be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.


The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, of “Randy” Perry, beloved husband of Mary Perry (née Gallant) of North Rustico, aged 70 years.

Randy will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Nancy Doucette (Pius), Joan Peters (Kenny), Judy Gallant (Paul), Tracey Sark (James) and Len Perry; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Irene Bonnell (Clyde), Gordon Gallant, Earl Gallant (Marilyn), Wayne Gallant (Sheila) and Darren Gallant (Bernie).

Randy was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Margaret (Gallant) Perry; parents-in-law, Vincent and Lena Gallant; nieces, Krista and Terri-Lee Peters; and sister-in-law, Daisy Gallant.

By personal request, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at a later date in the church cemetery.

The funeral for Randy Perry was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico. The celebrant for the mass of Christian burial was Reverend Albin Arsenault, who proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The altar servers were Joan Doiron, Sam Vail, Curtis Gallant, Vernon Buote and Zita Cameron. The first reading was addressed by Marilyn Gallant. The second reading was addressed by Joan Peters. The Prayer of the Faithful was led by Nancy Doucette. The music was provided by the church choir with Lara Dias as Organist. The hymns were Entrance, “Be Not Afraid”; Psalm, “The Lord’s My Shepherd”, with Lara Dias as Cantor; offertory, “Here I Am, Lord”; communion, “Amazing Grace”; special music, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, sung by Kelly Buote; commendation, “Songs of the Angels”; and Recessional, “How Great Thou Art”. Honorary Pallbearers were Joe and Evelyn Gaudet, Cecil and Dale Hurry, Louis and Sheila Gallant, Lori and Ivan Perry, Brian DesRoches, Brittany Baylin and Ryan Gallant. The Bearer of Honour was Joan Peters. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
